A relaxing and rejuvenating alternative to massage therapy is a hydrating wrap.  You will be cocooned in a soft warm blanket and each arm and leg as well as the back will individually be removed from the cocoon to do a light skin scrub with a loofa followed by an application of a hydrating body butter. After the scrub and body butter application you will be fully cocooned again and a scape massage administered for the remaining time of your 50 minute wrap!

Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. This massage is beneficial for athletes and those who sit for long periods of time.

The goal of Swedish Massage is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Swedish Massage is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body.

Hot stone massage is often paired with swedish massage. Stones are heated and used with oils to soothe, warm, and massage your muscles. This allows your body to relax and release tension.

Reflexology is a form of body work that utilizes points on the hands, ears and most often feet to relieve imbalances in the body.  This is a great service for those who do not wish to get undressed and still want to experience relief throughout the whole body. Schedule as a stand alone 30 minute treatment or schedule it with a 60 minute massage for an ultimate 90 minute experience!

Reflexology

If you are pregnant this is the massage technique for you!  Modifications to a typical massage may include: client body positioning (side- lying bolstered), pressure at certain areas, length of session, use or avoidance of certain essential oils, and more all depending on the stage of pregnancy and health conditions of mother-to-be.

Pre-Natal

Ayurveda is a traditional Indian alternative medicine system that has a long, rich history of use. Under Ayurvedic medicine, it’s believed that the five elements of the world have a huge impact on a person’s health. 

Marma points are specific anatomical locations in your body through which the energy of these elements is believed to flow. Marma points therapy is the practice of stimulating these spots through gentle massage therapy.

Cupping is an ancient somatic practice of lifting tissues to create space and move fluids in the tissues through the use of glass or plastic cups that suction body tissue into the vacuum of the cup created by pump or machine (traditionally fire was used to create the suction). Movement of lymph fluid, blood and other stagnant fluids out of the area being cupped creates greater range of motion and healthier tissues.

Cupping (medi-cupping and stationary cupping)

Similar to a hot stone massage, heated herbal/rice packs are applied to the body to aid in relaxation and pain relief.  This can be a service all its own and done fully clothed with compression massage or it can be added to most other massage modalities.

Hot Pack Compression

Connective tissue/ myofascial, lymphatic drainage and oncology massage are all modalities I have received informal or introductory training in. I typically do not see clients who's condition in these fields are severe, however I will do what I can and we can discuss referral options if you need more that I can competently provide with my scope of practice.
